FAQ
Short answers to common questions.
This keeps the first conversation practical: repairs, builds, ownership, handover, and what happens to the details someone submits.
Do you work in West Auckland?
Yes. I am based in West Auckland and can help local homes, shops, tradies, community groups, and small businesses with practical web and tech jobs.
Can you bring old computers back to life?
Often, yes. A slow older computer may only need an SSD, more memory, cleanup, a fresh install, or a lighter operating system. If it is not worth repairing, I will say that clearly before you spend money.
Can you build arcade machines or gaming setups?
Yes. I can help with retro arcade cabinets, emulation setups, gaming PCs, media machines, controllers, screen setup, and tidy handover so you know how to use it.
Can you help unlock phones or computers?
I can help you get back into a phone, computer, or account you own: password resets, recovery steps, setup, backups, and rebuilds. I do not bypass locks on devices that are not clearly yours.
Can you build Raspberry Pi shop displays or kiosks?
Yes. Raspberry Pi and mini-PC setups are a good fit for shop-front advertising screens, menus, dashboards, information displays, simple touch kiosks, and always-on local tools.
Can you help with LED advertising displays?
Yes. I can help plan shop-front LED displays, curved feature screens, promo boards, menu screens, media players, and content playback. Hardware details should be confirmed against the site, display size, supplier specs, and installation conditions.
Can you set up home servers, AI tools, or custom apps?
Yes. That can include storage, media, backups, local AI tools, private assistants, quote tools, simple dashboards, and small apps built around a specific job.
Can you build software that runs locally?
Yes. Some tools can run on your own computer, Raspberry Pi, mini-PC, or server. That can suit personal trackers, dashboards, shop displays, arcade cabinets, quote tools, and simple business systems.
What does data ownership mean for a small business?
It means knowing where customer leads, quotes, stock, files, and business records live; who can access them; how they are backed up; and whether you can export or move them later.
How is enquiry data handled?
Only the details needed to reply to the enquiry should be collected. The form does not need extra tracking scripts to work, and the privacy page keeps that clear.
